Shining Star
The angels looked down from heaven one night.
They searched for miles afar,
And deep within the distance
They could see a shining star.
They knew that very instant
That the star was theirs to gain,
So they took you up to heaven,
Forever to remain.
Look down on us from heaven.
Keep us free from hurt and pain.

Estrella Brillante
Los ángeles miraron hacia abajo desde el cielo una noche.
Buscaron kilómetros de distancia, Y en lo profundo de la distancia Podían ver una estrella brillante.

Hector was forever in The Moment. I remember him breaking in a new glove in 2019, with the Reds I think. That basket was blue and so big it made Hector look smaller. One game he was accused of playing too shallow, over the line. He yelled back explaining, "It was my glove!" I'll never forget that, or him.

Hector and I were friends since we were in our forties.
He was always a gentleman and I loved his wonderful sense of humor. We shared jokes and funny anecdotes many times. He always had a kind word for all.” Hey watch out for a viscous line drive” ( Out private joke) May you Rest In Peace.

I’ve known Hector for years going way back to the days when we were co workers at the post office. He was a great friend and team mate at Dover. He always had a smile and encouraging word for all. He will be sorely missed. May he Rest In Peace.

More than a team mate we always saw Hector as a very close friend. We will miss him dearly. He was always joking and laughing and never heard any negative comments about the games and/or members of the teams playing with. Rest in peace Hector Ruiz. We will meet again.
